On behalf of the students, staff and faculty of the University of Wisconsin Colleges and the University of Wisconsin-Extension, I am delighted to welcome you to the UW System Board of Regents meeting on April 9 and 10, 2015. We are honored to host this meeting at UW-Waukesha, the largest campus of the UW Colleges, and hope you have an enjoyable and productive experience.
With more than 14,000 degree and transfer students enrolled at the UW Colleges’ 13 campuses and online, and an additional 1.5 million individuals touched by UW-Extension programs, our two institutions truly embody the Wisconsin Idea by bringing the University to every corner of the state.
During your visit to UW-Waukesha, you’ll hear more about how UW Colleges and UW-Extension enrich the lives of Wisconsinites. From a UW Colleges collaborative program that trains physician’s assistants for high-demand work in rural communities, to a new take on 4-H outreach in our urban centers, to the expansive and quality programming offered by public radio and television, and much more, we’re excited to share the data and stories on how our two institutions are creating a stronger future for all of Wisconsin.
I encourage you to talk to our hardworking students, faculty and staff while on campus, and to learn more about their unique educational journeys and our commitment to our access and service mission.
We will post updated information and a more detailed agenda as it becomes available. We encourage you to submit your registration now using this link. We look forward to seeing you at UW-Waukesha.
